Wind for Shipping is an Interreg North-West Europe project launched in January 2025. With 12 partners from the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, and France, the project promotes sustainable innovation in the maritime sector through wind propulsion by developing and scaling up the use of rotorsails and wingsails to reduce fuel consumption in shipping by 20–40%. Key actions include automating production, creating global logistics solutions, and supporting a skilled workforce and supply chains.
