We recently met as Wind4Shipping (W4S) in Ghent to review our progress, plan next steps, and prepare our input for the upcoming policy session, co-organized withAssociation Wind Shipand theThe SEArica Intergroup.
The session will be hosted by MEP Christophe Clergeauand will feature a keynote by Catherine Chabaud, Minister Delegate to the Minister for Ecological Transition, Biodiversity, and International Negotiations on Climate and Nature, responsible for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries and conclude with closing remarks from MEP Raquel Garcia Hermida-van der Walle.
Day 1
We reviewed the progress of WP1 and held a brainstorm session to develop policy recommendations. we prepared our inoput for the upcoming policy session in Brussels. We also discussed the SWOT analysis covering the regions East Flanders, Germany, Fryslân, and Brittany, and reviewed the competence map developed with Craft, which maps key actors in the ecosystem and allows stakeholders to be added. Day 2
During the second day sessions, task leaders presented the progress of their activities and shared key insights from their work. Updates covered pilot actions, communication activities, target group identification, route optimisation, and the market uptake and economics of upscaling. Through valuable workshops and discussions, partners exchanged progress and aligned the next steps of the project.
Day 3
We held our Steering Group Meeting with all partners to review the project’s current progress and discuss the upcoming agenda.
